Functional Process Description of the Heavy Media Cyclone Separator

Initially, the ore enters the feed preparation screen (1) for washing. Fine materials are washed into the tailings tank (21) using a water spray, and the washed ore from the screen discharge chute is fed into the cyclone pump (2)

Inside the cyclone pump, the ore is mixed with the heavy media fluid and then pumped to the cyclone (4). The separation of materials into heavy and light (floated) fractions occurs within the cyclone. The underflow of the cyclone (heavy materials) goes to screen number (19), while the lighter overflow is transferred to the flotation screen (5).

به منظور تعیین و حفظ چگالی سیال واسطه، یک سیستم بسته گردش برای آن تعبیه شده است. برای این منظور سیال واسطه از طریق Slurry Pump شماره (7) از انتهای مخزن (9) خارج و مجددا به بالای مخزن اضافه می‌گردد. جهت رمق گیری ( افزایش چگالی ) سیال به دستگاه چگالنده(8) منتقل مي شود.

The magnetic separator (6) is used to recover the heavy media, returning a slurry of pure media to the media tank (9). The non-magnetic portion of this device is transferred to the tailings tank (21). The tailings pump (20) output is directed to the tailings dam for containment and management

Any overflow from the tailings tank (21) or media tank (9) enters the bottom tray (22) of the device, which is responsible for collecting the materials

The D-Magnet Coil (3) is extremely sensitive and essential for reducing the consumption of heavy media (ferrosilicon), preventing the formation of magnetic clumps caused by the magnetic field induced in the magnetic separator
